Yoga Teacher, Pregnancy Circle Facilitator, Birth Doula, Cloth Diaper & EC Class Educator
Brandy is a certified yoga instructor and birth doula, as well as one of our pregnancy circle facilitators and the educator behind our cloth diapering and elimination communication classes. She has been practicing yoga for 15 years and teaching for over a decade. She specializes in strength-based yoga flow classes. When you're doing yoga with Brandy it doesn't matter what you do as long as you do what feels good, have fun, and go out into the world and be nice to other people.
In addition to her role as a GROW yoga instructor, Brandy is deeply passionate about her work as a GROW birth doula and educator for families interested in cloth diapering and elimination communication. After giving birth to her son in the spring of 2023, she fully understood the immense importance of having the emotional support and advocacy of a doula and feels it is something that every birthing person should have access to. She is also fiercely passionate about low-waste, sustainable living and loves showing parents how easy and unmessy cloth diapering and infant pottying can be!
Brandy is also a certified fertility awareness educator and the founder of Sauvage Wellness where she teaches women around the world how to use fertility awareness methods of cycle tracking as natural birth control, to get pregnant when ready, and to have better periods.
Being a part of the GROW community from pregnant person to teacher, doula, and educator has been a life-changing experience for Brandy. To be a part of such a wonderful community fills Brandy with joy each and every day.

Your doula will be a calming, confident presence and support during the weeks leading up to your birth, during your labor, and in the transitional time postpartum. They will help you navigate the information coming your way in your labor so that you can make informed decisions about your care.
During your pregnancy, your doula will be a resource to you for questions, conversation, and education, as well as for specific referrals for care including acupuncture, physical therapy, chiropractic, massage, etc. They can assist with writing your birth wishes and planning out everything you envision for your birth. For those with young children, your doula can work with you to prepare the big brother or sister for meeting the baby.
During labor, your doula will:
Help you find more comfortable positions while you are in labor and specific movements to help your labor progress.
Apply comfort measures such as counter-pressure on your back and hips, and teach your partner how to take on these support roles if they wish.
Carry you through the intensity of contractions with breathing techniques and emotional support. We've got you!
Be an extra pair of hands to help with all the little yet important things that come up such as giving your partner a break if needed, bringing cool cloths and ice chips, refilling waters, etc.
Be a calming force with massage, reassuring words, and support.
Continuously look for ways to connect you and your partner if you have one.
Be an advocate for your birth wishes and work with you throughout your labor to ensure that you are respected, informed, and in control of decision-making.

Hiring a GROW Doula means you are being matched with compassionate, experienced professional support for you and your partner as you journey through this time of pregnancy, birth and postpartum.
Once you are matched with a GROW doula, you will set up an interview time with them to see if they feel like the right fit for your birth. Your private doula will have their own contract fees ranging depending on the doula, and carry their own liability insurance. Specific terms of the contract will be set up with the doula you hire according to their own LLC. Please note, your doula is not an employee of GROW and GROW holds no liability for the doula. Rather, we are recommending local independent doulas who we trust.
In submitting your request, please include with information about your due date and anything specific that will help us match you with the right doula. A free consultation will be set up as a next step. Click the buttons on this page to set up a free consultation, or email hello@growfamilyvt.com.
